Revelation 1: 8 " I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
John begins his message to the seven churches. This is the end of the greeting. He reminds them of the glory of God and those who surround His throne.
I like the reference to the eternity of God. John repeats this twice in his greeting. It's part of his praise of God before he describes his vision.
Prayer: I want to praise my holy Lord, the Almighty. It's hard to comprehend the God who has always been and who always will be. I am more comfortable with the God who is present with me now. The mystery of an eternal God amazes me.
