2 Peter 1:  2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Peter wrote about the second coming and fallen angels and humans in this letter. But first he addressed the faithful.  He wanted them to understand that God has given them everything they need to become great disciples.  He listed virtues like faith, love, mutual affection, and knowledge.

I chose this verse because I love the sentiment of giving grace and peace through faith and knowledge.  It's a busy time of the year for everyone, but it is important to find grace and peace especially in Advent.  We are awaiting the birth of our Saviour.

Prayer: Give grace and peace to all I love, Lord.  They can find both in You.  Open their eyes and ears to all you can offer.
Amen
