December 25, 2014

1 John 3:  2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

John is telling about good and bad people.  The good people know God, and they can ask for things from Him, because they understand His will.  They are righteous in their actions.  We don't fully understand yet, but we will when Christ comes again.

That seems like a good thing to meditate about on the day we celebrate the first coming of Christ.  I want to pray well.  I try to listen for that still small voice. I will keep trying, but I will also recognize that there are many things I won't know until Christ comes again.

Prayer:  I want to know Your will for me.  I honor all You gave me with the gift of Your son.   I long for the day when we will begin eternity together.
Amen
