John 8: 12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Jesus is under seige at the festival in Judea. The Pharisees are doing their best to discredit him. He is trying to fulfill his mission by explaining how the Spirit will be with the people once he has died and arisen.
The season of Christmas is one of lights. But the true light of the season is the one people of faith follow. It's good to remember that in all the hubbub of the holidays.
Prayer: I will follow You, my Lord, and I will follow Your son, Jesus. I know the peace that faith brings. Thanks for accepting me with all my faults.
