Hebrews 13: 5. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.”

Paul is wrapping up his letter.  He has offered advice for dealing with other people.  You should treat strangers and prisoners well. Your marriage and the marriages of others should be honored. You should realize that God will take care of you, so you don't need to worry about money.

We are in Florida, where the wealth of others is much more obvious than it is at home.  It is easy to become discontent, to compare your possessions with those of the people around you. We people of faith don't have to go there, because the gifts God gave us are more valuable than possessions.

Prayer:  I am so glad to know that You will never leave me, Lord.  I'm blessed in so many ways.  I promise to remember that I don't need to worry about material wealth, because I am rich in faith.
Amen
