Mary is praying. She is pregnant, and she has gone to spend time with her cousin, who is also pregnant with John the Baptist. She says that she will be called blessed for generations. She has accepted the word of Gabriel about her son, who will be the Messiah. She is humble yet strong in her faith.
I have been neglecting my journal. Some days I have read older entries, but I haven't written new ones. I should recall my blessings and do better. The Lord has done mighty things for me too. My faith remains strong, but I need to exercise it in as many ways as possible.
Prayer: I confess that I haven't made time for my Scripture reading and reflection. I know that my life goes better when I do, but I let everyday life overwhelm me. Guide me to more faithful practices, Lord. I acknowledge You as my almighty saviour.
