Psalm 5: 11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
This relates well to yesterday's post and today's verses about Joseph too. Joseph was so tight with God, he took refuge in Him so many times, and Joseph always came out of the calamity so well. God was with him, God protected him, and Joseph's path always led to honor, no matter how low circumstances had dropped him.
I like this Psalm as a prayer. I want to take refuge in God. I beg for His holy protection. I do love God's name, and I rejoice in Him. Like today's verses in Luke, I long to be one of those who are taken if Jesus returns in my lifetime.
Prayer: Lord, I take refuge in You. I sing for joy and rejoice in Your presence in my life. Please spread your protection over me. I want to walk in Your way, and I want to fulfill all the promise You bestowed on me from my birth.
Amen
I chose this Psalm again in 2016, although a different verse.
