Genesis 39:  ² The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.

Joseph has been sold by his brothers into slavery in Egypt.  Even though this should be a disaster, God turns it into another triumph by Joseph.  It is going to turn ugly again, though, with the master's wife lying about Joseph.  Joseph will spend years in jail, but even there God is with him.

Joseph has been a golden boy since his birth.  The first son of the woman his father truly loved, and her only other child was delivered at his mother's death.  His father favored him, and his brothers were jealous.  No surprise.  Then he had a hotline to God, and he told everyone what God had revealed to him.  That REALLY made them mad.  Now the golden boy rises to the top of the master's staff, and he gets struck down.  Even after that he rises to the top of the jail, serving the warden.  I guess if you are really in touch with God, he will bless you in ways that no one can imagine. 

Prayer:  Lord, I ask for your blessing on me.  I will try to stay in touch with Your will for me, to feel Your presence in my daily life.  I know that if I do that, I will find Your blessings in every thing I do.  Praises for the mighty God who can make me the best I can be.
