Matthew 17:  20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

The disciples are puzzled about their inability to cast demons out of someone when Jesus had no trouble doing that.  Jesus is preparing for his last days on Earth, and he is a bit impatient with humans in general.  He is also having trouble about the temple tax, and yet he tells Peter to pay it with a coin he will find in the mouth of a fish he will catch.  Such a strange scenario, and yet the people around are still not able to get to the level of faith required.

I was drawn to this verse when I began praying for Sherri.  I know I don't have the faith to move mountains, but I could manage a mustard seed's worth.  Nothing was impossible for me, as Sherri's results were just what I prayed for.

Prayer:  Increase my faith, Lord, that I might do things You would have me do.  I want to be certain that my prayer will be answered, and I need strength to reach that point.  I give You thanks for all the answered prayers in my past, and I look ahead to many more in the future.
Amen
