Mathew 6:  33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Jesus is offering all kinds of advice.  He gives us the Lord's Prayer.  He tells us not to worry--about what we will eat or wear or about our bodies.  God is watching the sparrows and us too.  If we seek God first, everything else will fall into place.

On this last day of Lent, this is a good reminder to me.  I pray the Lord's Prayer daily, and sometimes I don't make it through the whole thing without my attention wandering.  I tend to skip the righteousness part of the 23rd Psalm too, when I pray it.  I need to remember that God is always with me, even when my attention wavers, and that if I honor Him, my life will be better.  I will be attuned with His divine plan for me.  The rest will take care of itself.

Prayer:  Lord, I am trying to keep You in my heart and mind every day.  I am weak, and I get distracted by my day-to-day demands.  Please forgive me and guide me to Your path for me.  I know my life will be better then, and I will reflect Your love to all I meet.
Amen

PS  Sherri's test results came in, and she does only have the 2 tumors!  Just what I was praying for--God is good all the time.
