2 Corinthians 8: 15 as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.”[b]

 Paul has been promised a big gift for the church by the Corinthians. He tells them how faithful the Macedonians have been in giving, and he praises them for their commitment. He then recounts this verse from Exodus to explain why their gift is appropriate given their means.

 My mother says she prayed this way all her life. Don't let me be too rich or too poor. I'm glad to see the Biblical authority to back that up. Being too rich can lead to indifference towards God and His people. Being too poor can lead to resentment of those who have more.

 Prayer: I am blessed in so many ways. Being able to give to others is one of my blessings. I love to share with God's people in need. Thanks be to You, my Lord, for the blessings which I can pass on to those in need. Amen
