Psalm 49:  ¹⁵ But God will redeem me from the realm of the dead;
    he will surely take me to himself.

The Psalmist is talking about those who die without an understanding of the Lord.  They may acquire great wealth and fame, but when they pass on, they are just moldy bodies.  To the world, they seemed to be very successful.  In reality, they will not be able to take the wealth and status with them.  Death is the end.

We are so fortunate to have the gift of faith.  God gave us our faith, and we exercise it.  Then we are ready for our eternal home when we pass.  Thanks be to God.

Prayer:  Thank you, Lord, for my faith.  How I long for the days we will spend together when I reach my eternal home.  I am blessed.
