Acts 13:  34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

Paul and Silas are in jail after Paul removed a spirit from a woman slave who could predict the future. Her owners were incensed at the loss of income. In the middle of the night, an earthquake opens the cells. The jailer is ready to kill himself since he will be held responsible. But they don't go, and he is saved by their faith.

I was struck by the hospitality and happiness of the jailer. The Lord moves in mysterious ways indeed. This man would never have predicted that he would become a Christian. And Paul and Silas had converted so many others, but God wasn't done with this stop on their journey.

Prayer:  Lord, guide me so that I am available for Your call whenever it comes. You can see the opportunity I miss in my daily rush. Help me to represent You in the best way so that others might see Your light shining through me.
Amen
