Lamentations 2: 18. The hearts of the people cry out to the Lord. You walls of Daughter Zion, let your tears flow like a river day and night; give yourself no relief, your eyes no rest.

Things are really bad in Jerusalem. The people and their rulers didn't listen to the prophets, and the day of reckoning has come. There is death and hunger. The grand buildings are just a memory. The people are in despair. But they are still not really getting it.

I feel the pain of the unfaithful. They have suffering around the clock. You would think that they would repent, but they have passed by the opportunity to do that several times already. God has a good plan for all people, but we moan and complain without really changing our focus.

Prayer: Lord, I cry for Your people who don't know Your love. They are blind to Your son and the sacrifice he made for them. Give me the words and actions to lead them to You. And help me to keep my focus on Your holy will for me. Amen
