Hosea 6: 3  Let us acknowledge the Lord;
    let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
    he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
    like the spring rains that water the earth.

The rest of today's readings are full of gloom and doom.  It details how the different tribes of Israel have turned away from God.

Here is a plea to turn to God.  All we need to do is acknowledge Him, and he will be there, ever faithful.

We as a people need to turn to God.  He has so much to offer us.  We are a "stiff-necked people" just like the Israelites.  We believe we can handle it all by ourselves.  Why?  God is waiting for us.

Prayer:  Lord, I turn to You for all my needs.  You can comfort me in my time of troubles, you can lead me to Your will, and You will, in the end, save me.  Praise be to God!
Amen

  1. I chose the same verse in 2014! I need to look through my archive more often.
