Luke 19: 5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him,‘Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.’
Zaccheus was up in the tree, because he was too short to see Jesus otherwise. Jesus knew about that, and he knew Zaccheus's heart. Zaccheus repented and tried to make restitution for the wrongs in his past.
I wish things were as clear to me. I don't know people's hearts, and I can be cold as ice. Maybe I walk right past the person who needed my help, totally involved in my own life.
Prayer: Lord, I need You to let me see Your people and their needs. Warm my heart to the work You would have me do. Guide my words and actions to serve You.
