Luke 15: 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, ‘This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them.’
Jesus is hanging around with tax collectors and other sinners. His response to this criticism is to tell of the lost coin, the lost sheep and the prodigal son.
I'm thinking of the criticism of the Pope. My daughter was incensed about his meeting with Kim Davis. I'm thinking he was doing what Jesus would have done. He would have been hopeful that she would respond to him with Christian brotherhood.
Prayer: I pray for people of faith everywhere. We are often attacked for our beliefs. Help us to stand together while tolerating individual styles of worship. Keep Your church alive.
