Acts 4: 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
The disciples are called before the Sanhedrin to explain the healing of the lame beggar at the Beautiful gate. The leaders demand an explanation, and they want to prevent the disciples from doing more, but they are powerless because everyone knows the man was lame and is now healed. This is Peter's response.
I pray for healing all the time, for myself, loved ones, acquaintances, and even strangers. Wouldn't it be awesome to have the kind of faith that ensured that my prayers could be answered on the spot? Or would that be a disaster? Would I find myself mobbed? Could I take the pressure? I guess I am not the kind of follower that I could be....
Prayer: I pray for healing in the lives of those I know. I pray for the grieving, the ill, the injured, those who are hurt inside by the thoughtless acts of others. Be with Your people, Lord.
Amen
