John 8: 19 They said, “Where is this so-called Father of yours?”
Jesus said, “You’re looking right at me and you don’t see me. How do you expect to see the Father? If you knew me, you would at the same time know the Father.”

Jesus is in the Temple. Church leaders are doing their best to make him say something that they can use against him. They are afraid that they will lose their prestigious positions. They want his ministry stopped. He tells them the truth, but they can't see that, because they are disconnected from God.

There are lots of reasons why people don't see God. In my case, it's usually about busy-ness. I don't find the time to focus on my faith. Others are depressed or angry. They block God with their emotional state. I'm sure that anyone who can connect with God will have a better life.

Prayer:  I am praying for all the people, myself included, who are disconnected from You, Lord. Help us to find You and all You can offer us. Show us how to be more faithful.
