Luke 16: 11. Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
Jesus is telling about the dishonest manager. He has been unwise with his master's possessions. Jesus says that no one would trust him with greater riches. He ends with the saying that you can't love both God and money.
Being dishonest is like poison to me. As I grew up, members of my family would try to beat the system. They didn't see anything wrong with taking advantage of a big company or the government. I don't see it that way at all. I value my honesty over even a small amount of financial gain.
Prayer: Lord, guide me to live a righteous life, so that people who see me will see a reflection of my faith in You.
Amen
