Philippians 2: 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
This is the end of a sort of poem, where Paul tells the people to honor the needs of others above their own needs. In doing that, we are Christ-like, b/c he took the lowly form of a man although he was God, and was obedient even to death. God has exalted Jesus so that we should all bow and worship him.
There is no way we can ever live up to Christ's example. We are weak, and our salvation only comes through Christ's sacrifice. We must never forget how humble we are, and we must take the time to acknowledge that. We serve an awesome God and His only son.
Prayer: Lord, I do accept my limitations. I know that I am weak. I know I can only come to You through the sacrifices You and Your son made on my behalf. Please strengthen me so that I can more nearly approach all You intend for me to be.
Amen
