Psalm 149: 4
For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.
The Psalmist tells of a great time of worship. The people sing, dance and play the timbrel and harp. Everyone is rejoicing. He goes dark in the second half of the Psalm with righteous vengeance.
Well the festival sounded great at first. The singing and dancing with music reflected the happiness of the people. They are pleased with their Creator. I like that image, so I am stopping there.
Prayer: I want to be more humble, Lord. I need to resist the sin of going my own way, and I need to look harder for the path You would have me follow. I know that I will prosper when I live my life in relationship with You.
Amen
