Romans 5: 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Paul is relentless in his attempt to persuade the Romans, and he does this by talking about the effect of the sin of one man versus the effect of the perfect sacrifice of another. He also contends that we who believe will receive extra benefits from the death and resurrection of Jesus.
God's love for us is almost unbelievable. We are not worthy of it. We try God's patience every day. Yet, He sacrificed His only son for us even before anyone truly accepted the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: I need You, Lord. I'm weak. I'm sinful. I don't do all that I can to demonstrate the strength of my faith. Your love for me is there all the time regardless. Praises to You.
Amen
