Matthew 19: 26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
People fall short. In this chapter, we find out Jesus's opinions on divorce. And then there's the rich young man who left sadly, because he knew that he couldn't give up his possessions to follow Jesus. Jesus says that it's hard to be rich and also right with God. The disciples wonder who can be saved. This is Jesus's response.
It certainly is good that God has our backs. We would be sunk otherwise. We are selfish. We are easily distracted. We fall short in so many ways. But we have grace. God makes it possible for sinners like us to know Him.
Prayer: Lord, You are the One. You are our salvation and the way to eternal life. We are unworthy. Thanks for caring. I will sing Your praises until the time when I get to join You.
