Hebrews 2:18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
Paul is still explaining Jesus's human experience to the Jews. We are perfected, made a member of God's family, by Christ's human experience. He suffered at the hands of Satan so that we we could defeat death.
I'm especially moved by the becoming part of God's family. So many people gathered with family yesterday. We shared food and memories. We made new memories. We know the love of family, but God's love is so much greater, and we are blessed to be a part of His family too.
Prayer: I am feeling blessed to know that I am part of Your chosen family, Lord. Please listen to my groans and relieve the suffering of those I love. Bless us and keep us.
