1 Peter 2: 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
Peter talks about injustice. If we are always treated justly, we would not fully understand all that Christ went through. We can relate to his example better, because we know how he must have felt. Yet he clung to God's will and gave his life for us.
No one wants to suffer. I watched my Billy struggle for breath all morning. All I wanted was an end to his struggle. This afternoon he is resting. I am relieved, but I still fear what will happen when he wakes. I will try to make Billy's example a positive legacy. I am so unhappy, though, that he has to go through this.
Prayer: I pray for those who suffer. I pray for those who suffer physically and mentally. I pray for those who mourn. I pray for those who are uncertain about their futures. I pray for all Your people.
