2 Corinthians 4: 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Paul talks about how rough it is for the Christians of his day. He says that the light of Christ must shine out of our "jars of clay." We persevere, even though the secular world doesn't see what we do.
It's another hard time to be a Christian, when hypocrites step up and bend Scripture to suit their motives. If you want to follow the path Christ left, you are mocked by unbelievers and horrified by the people who represent themselves as your brothers and sisters in Christ. I am thinking about"the God of this age."
Prayer: Lord, I am struggling. I want to be a positive force for You in this troubled world. Guide my steps to reflect what Your will for me is.
